Notes: You can pick up a bit of info from The Gem Den . You can also find Aquamarine there and I have been told Tourmaline. There is a camping ground just outside the fossicking area, it is great. Has a nice little river running by it, Rarely dries up. Closes in the wet season though. Lots of caravan/camp grounds in Mt Surprise but that is a bit of a drive each way if you are hanging around for a few days. Hot dry country, Not recommended for summer unless you go out really early and come in before you expire. Newbies wanting to learn about fossicking can go out with the Gem Den for a morning as a tag along, all tools and teaching supplied.
